Blush, Taupe, and Orange Airplane Hangar Wedding : Louisville, Kentucky

I was once told never to post your own wedding on your website.  It makes you look inexperienced- like you got into the wedding industry because you loved planning your own wedding so much, you just couldn't let it go.  For me, however, that's not the case.  I had been doing weddings for a bit once my own big day came around and I had been designing (in some capacity or another) for years.  When we got engaged, I really wanted to have a small destination wedding.  I figured since I get to do weddings all the time for other people, I wanted to relax and enjoy my own.  I found out pretty quickly that was not going to happen!  Since my father was insistent on keeping the 400+ guest list, I realized I either had to go big or go home.  So, we rented a 24,000 square foot air plane hangar and went as big as we could.  Below are some of my favorite images! Oh! I must also add that our wedding was featured on Once Wed and in their first print magazine! If you haven't ordered a copy for yourself, you should.  It's a beautiful magazine, full of inspiration and gorgeous images!  Get yourself a copy here!

One more thing- we hired Nashville wedding photographer Tec Petaja to shoot our wedding.  He shoots with film.  Film! Yes, like the roll you used to put in your camera! Remember that stuff? You may or may not know, but film photography is on the uprise, especially in the wedding industry.  I love the soft yet gritty look of the images- it feels so raw and natural.  You should see the prints in person- so beautiful!  And I'm not just saying that because our faces are all over them!

Here are some of my favorites!
