These gorgeous blooms are from Day + Eric's wedding at Front Porch Farms outside of Nashville this past spring. I love traveling for weddings. I love being inspired by new and unfamiliar spaces. I secretly love the challenge of car packing tetris (CHRIS, THIS IS NOT GOING TO FIT WHAT ARE WE GONNA DOOOOOOO!?) And I also love getting to break after set up and explore what ever town we are in before we go back for clean up. Of course, I do actually spend a lot of time in Nashville as a lot of my closest friends live down there, so I jump at any extra reason for me to go down!
When it comes to colors of flowers, I am super particular about shades and tones. There's a thing called NATURE that doesn't always cooperate with my plans, and I know I probably drive my wholesalers nuts. I can't help it though! When Day said she wanted shades of pink and a touch of purple, I had to hunt for the perfect blending tones. I had never done an all pink wedding before, and to be honest, I think the colors of this wedding have to be one of my favorites.
Day leaned towards a classic/gardeny aesthetic, and all the texture provided a little touch of bohemian. I know I can say for myself at least, Day made me want to wear a flower crown every day of my life!
I must say a special thank you to my best Nashville gal, Lauren Mechetner, for assisting with this one! She is now an expert garland maker and a pro at tying vines to pendant lights, just in case you are ever in need of either skill :)
This was the beginning of wedding season/pre studio renovation. It's really amazing what getting out of the basement dungeon and working in natural light can do for ya!
Had to test out the flower crown, duh!
