Derby Morning Bourbon & Biscuits with Garden & Gun + The Original Makers Club at Farmington

It's true, I've lived in Kentucky my entire life and have never been to the actual Kentucky Derby race.  I have, however, been to lots of Derby related events, and I can say with confidence, my favorite of the season is Derby morning at Farmington.  It's the most peaceful, beautiful event.  There's usually sweet bluegrass music in the air and some of the most fashionable people (in killer shoes and amazing hats!) wandering around drinking mimosas and juleps and just taking the experience in. This year, I convinced my flower friend, Holly Carlisle of Rosegolden Flowers to come up from Birmingham and work with me on some events but truly, I just really wanted her to experience Kentucky at it's most Kentuckiest.  We created arrangements for The Original Makers Club for the Oaks morning Garden Party on Market Street, took some arrangements to their dinner that night, and then re-purposed them for Derby morning at Farmington.

Thank you, Holly, for spending your weekend with us here in KY!  So grateful for your talented hands and great conversation :)
