A Memorial Day Weekend wedding with an effortless, sophisticated, black tie yet comfortable, elegant feel. With the majority of guests coming from New York City or Western Kentucky, where the bride is from, this was a full-weekend celebration.  Guests first enjoyed a trip to Churchill Downs for some horse racing before heading out to horse country.
We used a neutral color palette with pops of coral red in the stationery and flowers mimicking the red paint on Hermitage Farm’s fencing.  We kept the design of the event clean and modern while still feeling relaxed out on the farm.
Heaven shinned down on my old Kentucky home and allowed Skye, Trey and all their guests to enjoy an alfresco dinner…such a rare thing during a Kentucky summer!  Guests shared a family-style fried chicken dinner on beautiful crisp white plates with hemstitched napkins, took a turn at the bourbon bar and enjoyed cigars and late night dancing.
