A Sweet and Classic Horse Farm Destination Celebration

L+C met in school in North Carolina and reside in San Francisco.  For the wedding, Laura wanted to go home to her home state of Kentucky and have out-of-town guests experience the rolling hills, black fences, brick estate houses, bluegrass, she’d grown up with.

Guests were transported from city to countryside and dropped off at the ceremony spot where they picked up a refreshing summer cocktail and approached the petal-covered aisle, given pink parasols to stay cool under, and took their seats in front of a romantic flower-covered arch. After the ceremony it was off to cocktail hour in front of the historic estate house with light bites, classic mint juleps, and a gypsy jazz band playing on the front porch. The reception tent was set in a horse paddock and draped with white fabric and southern magnolia leaf garlands, styled farm tables, a black-and-white dance floor, and garden inspired lounge furniture. The design was thoughtful, sweet, classic, and accented by a few equestrian touches.  And the party was lively, as guests (wearing garden formal attire) danced the night away, swung by the cigar lounge, and enjoyed late-night snacks in the Kentucky countryside.
