A Tennessee Destination Wedding with an Open Fire Dinner

This California pair grew up together but didn’t fall in love until they reunited after college in New York City. The design-minded duo got married during a multi-day celebration in the Tennessee countryside at the groom’s family’s second home in Leiper’s Fork. The Memorial Day weekend of events began with a welcome party dubbed β€œCocktails in the Creek” where guests slipped on wellies and waded in the water with a cocktail in hand. The slightly rustic event boasted wooden tables, lush florals, and a farm-to-table buffet.

For the big day, attendees meandered through the woods to get to the ceremony in front of a pair of giant poplar trees. The festivities continued at a light and airy reception designed around custom, hand-blocked linens, and singular blooms and vines lining tables. After enjoying a meal prepared over an open-fire, the group experienced a fireworks display and late-night cauldron-fired beignets.
